Established in 1960, Hampstead Garden Suburb Pre-School has become a familiar and popular member of the community. Welcoming children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, we meet every weekday during school term times. We offer 3, 4 or 5 sessions each week between the hours of 08.30 and 14.30

The Pre-School is a member of the Early Years Alliance and Barnet Early Years Team. Registered with Social Care (Reg No DC0027) and Ofsted (DFEE Reg No EY338293) and inspected on a regular basis to ensure that we provide high levels of childcare and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) learning.

The Staff

The Manager, Mrs Samanda Hobbs has been with Hampstead Garden Suburb Pre-School for over 34 years now and is the Safeguarding DSL (Designated safeguarding lead) and Behavioural Development Manager. Sam is deputised by Sarah Hobbs with 17 years' experience and NVQ level 3 qualifications, she is also Acting Manager in the Mangers absence, Sarah is the Pre-School’s registered Special Educational Needs Development Co-ordinator (SEND-CO) and Equal Opportunities Manager. A friendly team of qualified staff members closely supports the management team, the longest standing being Rachel Fenlon who has been at the setting for more than 15 years and is also Acting deputy Manager in the Managers absence and is a valued member of staff.

Harriet Dunbar has 6 years experience behind her. Danielle Brosan who has 5 Years experience And Sydney Clifton (Student) our newest member of the team and is already proven to be an asset to the setting, with a fresh approach to well established methods. All members of staff are DBS checked and hold current First Aid Certificates. Staff members regularly attend training courses and workshops to continue their professional development. Sam, Sarah and Rachel are all trained DSLs. Sam is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and in her absence, Sarah is the DSL (Lead) with Rachel and DSL (Officer).
